Maharani Bangle
Sizing Guide

A bangle is measured by the hand it must pass over, not the wrist it settles on — which is why so many are bought a size wrong. Below is our house guide: how to measure in three calm steps, how slim stacks and wide kadas differ in fit, and the full size chart in millimetres, with a calculator to convert your measurement into a Maison Maharani size.

How to Measure — bangle fit guidance
01

How to Measure

Bangles are sized by the hand, not the wrist — they must pass over the knuckles before they settle. Measure once, calmly, with the hand relaxed.

Step
Close your fingers and bring your thumb toward your little finger, as if slipping a bangle on.
Tape
Wrap a soft tape (or a paper strip) around the widest part of the hand, across the knuckles.
Record
Note the number in centimetres — pull the tape snug, never tight.
Timing
Measure in the evening, when hands sit at their fullest.
Slim & Stacked — bangle fit guidance
02

Slim & Stacked

Thin kundan and polki bangles worn in multiples sit closer to the wrist and move with the hand, so a precise size matters more here than anywhere else.

Fit
True to measurement — a snug pass over the knuckles.
Sizing
If between sizes, stay with the smaller size so the stack does not slide.
Comfort
Expect a firm moment at the knuckle, then an easy settle.
Pairing
Wear six to twelve together for the traditional chooda line.
Wide Kada & Statement — bangle fit guidance
03

Wide Kada & Statement

A broad kada or a rigid statement cuff covers more of the hand as it passes over, and it needs a little more room than a thin bangle in the same size.

Fit
Size up by one for wide or rigid designs.
Sizing
Openable and screw-clasp kadas can be taken closer to your true size.
Comfort
It should never need force, oil or pain to remove.
Pairing
One kada per wrist, or a kada framed by two slim bangles.
